Professor Wawrykow’s specialty is medieval theology, particularly thirteenth-century scholastic theology and the work of St. Thomas Aquinas and his contemporaries. His current research concerns the Christology of Aquinas and of the High Middle Ages generally. He has been named by the University of Notre Dame’s Graduate School as one of thirteen Master Mentors of doctoral students and has also received a Kaneb Teaching Award for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
