NEW DATE: Middle High German Reading Group

-

Location: 317 DeBartolo Hall

THIS IS A RE-SCHEDULED DATE

This group is open to anyone in the Notre Dame community with an interest in medieval Germany and who wishes or needs to read Middle High German texts in the original. No prior experience is expected, although some familiarity with modern German will be a major help. The group will begin with the Consortium for the Teaching of the Middle Ages (TEAMS) volume Ladies, Whores, and Holy Women: A Sourcebook in Courtly, Religious, and Urban Cultures of Late Medieval Germany (available in the ND library), which comprises a series of late medieval texts with facing-page English translations, but may change according to the interests and needs of the members.

The group will also meet on April 2 and 23.
