Research Colloquium: D’Arcy Jonathan Dacre Boulton

D’Arcy Jonathan Dacre Boulton, Professor of the Practice of Medieval Studies and Concurrent Associate Professor of History, will offer a research colloquium entitled “The Myth of Chivalry: Another False Construct of Modern Historiography and Its Roots in (and Persistence through) Slovenly Methodology.” 

Prof. Boulton’s research focuses on the comparative social and cultural history of nobilities in Latin Europe (1100-1600), sigillography, and heraldic emblematics.

Twice each semester, a Medieval Institute faculty member or advanced graduate student presents his or her research for collegial discussion in the MI Research Colloquium series.
