Location: Browning Cinema, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center

“The Princess Bride” is showing as part of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center’s Midnight Movie series in the Browning Cinema. The 97-minute movie will begin on Feb. 4 at midnight and conclude in the early morning of Feb. 5.

Tickets are available on line or at the DPAC box office (574-631-2800), as you wish.

Directed by Rob Reiner, from a screenplay by William Goldman based on his novel of the same name, the movie was first released in 1987 and has continued from a modest theatrical beginning to delight fans as both a romantic love story and a comedy adventure. Cary Elwes and Robin Wright star, along with Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Billy Crystal, and a cast ranging from Carol Kane to André the Giant. Look for the classic dueling scene between Patinkin’s character and Count Rugen (Christopher Guest): “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
