Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Presents Richard III

-

Location: DeBartolo Performing Arts Center

“Richard III”
by William Shakespeare

Performances begin Tuesday, August 20 and continue through Sunday, September 1

Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival’s Professional Company presents “Richard III,” Shakespeare’s blazingly entertaining portrayal of England’s most famous villain, a twisted and ruthless monarch. The recent discovery of King Richard’s remains by archeologists means there is no better time to see why the “winter of our discontent” turns into a “glorious summer” at the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival.

The Medieval Institute has partnered with the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival and commissioned a video presentation about King Richard that will be shown in the lobby of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center during the run of the play. Nicole Eddy, 2012 Ph.D. in Medieval Studies at Notre Dame, created the video.

Purchase tickets for the play through the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center box office.
