Recreating a Renaissance Soundscape: A Celebration of Songs for Voice & Lute

-

Location: Bond Hall of Architecture, Room 104

You are cordially invited to a recital this coming Thursday. Join Grammy-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane, viola da gamba instructor Mary Anne Ballard, and graduate student Sarah Noone (Sacred Music) for a program of fifteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth-century music by Italian, French, and English composers. Lute songs developed in the Middle Ages and blossomed during the Renaissance, and an opportunity to experience this style of music performed live with historical instruments is quite rare.

For additional information, contact Sarah Noone at snoone@nd.edu.
