Chris Schabel (Ph.D. in History, University of Iowa, 1994) has been teaching since 1995 in the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Cyprus, where he is currently professor of medieval history and dean of the Faculty of Letters. Specializing in later medieval intellectual history and in the history of Frankish Greece and Cyprus, he is co-editor of the journals Vivarium (with Bill Duba) and, in preparation, Frankokratia (with Michalis Olympios), both with Brill. He especially enjoys publishing Latin source material, mainly philosophical texts from the University of Paris in the fourteenth century and documents from the Archivio Segreto Vaticano relating to the Latin East.
