Medieval political philosophy, political theology, intellectual history

Profile

I'm interested in the intersection of faith and politics in Medieval Europe, and how political philosophers and theologians sought to reconcile the tensions of heavenly and earthly citizenship. As a Dominican Friar, I have a particular interest in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, especially as a reader and interpreter of classical and patristic political thought. I've written on friendship and the common good, and also explore these themes in literature and liturgy.
