Profile

Romain Thurin specializes in the political and social history of the late Medieval Islamic World. His research interests focus on the history of Anatolia under the Seljuks, the Mongols and the early Beyliks. 

Other interests include the history of Central and Inner Asian pastoral nomads and their relationship to neighboring Persianate and East-Asian polities.
