The Medieval Liturgy Working Group is pleased to invite you to a lecture by Dr. Mercedes Pérez Vidal (Universidad de Oviedo) on women religious and liturgical networks in late medieval Iberia.

Dr. Mercedes Pérez Vidal is a Ramón y Cajal Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Oviedo in Art History. In addition to her book, Arte y liturgia en los monasterios de dominicas en Castilla (2021), she has published broadly in English on the art and architecture of religious women in late medieval Castile. She has held visiting fellowships at the Universidad Autónoma de México and, through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie program, at the Università di Padova and the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Since March 2021, she has been part of the Lisbon-based research team "Books, rituals and space in a Cistercian nunnery. Living, praying and reading in Lorvão, 13th – 16th centuries."
