Professor Robichaud specializes in intellectual history and the history of philosophy. His research interests include Platonism, Neoplatonism, Italian Renaissance humanism, and the classical tradition. His current work focuses on Marsilio Ficino: the title of his recent monograph is Plato’s Persona: Marsilio Ficino, Renaissance Humanism, and Platonic Traditions, and he is the principal investigator of a project aimed at providing critical editions and studies of Ficino’s Latin translations of Iamblichus’s De secta pythagorica and Theon of Smyrna’s Mathematica.
